For years, Brickhouse Environmental has provided Scientists, Engineers, and Geologists to conduct all aspects of land development planning from the initial site investigation and exploration to system design and permitting, to post construction operation and maintenance. You can count on Brickhouse to provide sound science combined with trusted advice to meet your environmental engineering needs.
Water Supply Exploration, Aquifer Testing, and Permitting

Our experienced Licensed Professional Geologists have the qualifications and knowledge to plan and conduct proper site investigations for the proposed withdrawal of groundwater for public or community water supply systems. We have planned and conducted numerous investigations including water budget analysis, fracture trace analysis, geologic and outcrop reconnaissance, streamflow analysis, and aquifer testing. We provide professional staff to conduct long-term pumping tests and work with nearby landowners to obtain the highest level of cooperation and satisfaction possible.
Storm water Design, Testing, and Permitting

As requirements for stormwater infiltration and Best Management Practices (BMPs) have become more and more stringent, Brickhouse Environmental has become recognized as a “go to” expert in stormwater management, infiltration testing, design, and permitting. Our staff of professional Engineers, Geologists, and Soil Scientists have in the past and continue to be a part of stormwater advisory committees including the PADEP, HBS, PCPG, and PAPPS. Based on our expertise, we have provided litigation support and expert testimony for lawsuits related to stormwater design, property damage, and preserving property owner’s rights.
Wastewater System Design, Testing, and Permitting

Our staff has experience designing and permitting sanitary treatment plants ranging from small flow treatment facilities for individual homes to municipally-owned treatment works. To supplement Municipal sewer systems, Brickhouse has provided design and engineering services for pump stations keeping at the forefront of our design our client’s desire to reduce long-term operational and maintenance costs.
Brickhouse Environmental provides a Certified Soil Scientists and Licensed Professional Geologists to properly site, test, and design wastewater absorption areas ranging in size from individual residential systems to community systems supplying an entire subdivision. We provide innovative designs including wastewater recycling and alternative system designs to offer the best possible solutions for our clients and to maximize their potential disposal capacity.
Wetland Delineation and Engineering

Wetlands and waterways are valuable environmental resources, protected by federal, state, and local laws. Brickhouse uses the latest guidance to identify and delineate wetlands, providing accurate delineations with thorough reporting to document field decisions. Brickhouse has established relationships with Army Corps of Engineers regulators to determine where and when that agency has jurisdiction over an identified wetland or waterway. When impacts cannot be avoided, Brickhouse navigates projects through the permitting process and mitigates impacts through constructed wetland design.
Post Construction Inspection and Maintenance

Alongside new BMPs to reduce stormwater runoff and sedimentation associated with land development comes a requirement for increased inspections and monitoring of these facilities. Brickhouse Environmental has experienced and qualified soil scientists and engineers to inspect facilities, document and direct repairs or maintenance activities, and to complete required reports. Our team is also experienced in post-construction litigation and can provide expert testimony when necessary.
