DRBC Permit for Groundwater Withdrawal

Location: Chester County, PA
Summary: Brickhouse Environmental provided hydrogeologic and engineering services to a Golf Club to develop an onsite water source for their irrigation needs. Work including citing the well, drilling the well, hydrogeologic testing, applying for and receiving a Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) Water Withdrawal Permit, and designing an irrigation water storage lagoon. Brickhouse Environmental was able to perform the necessary testing to identify an acceptable water withdrawal rate and storage system that 1) satisfied the needs of the Golf Club, 2) was protective of the adjacent stream and existing groundwater users, and 3) satisfied the DRBC’s requirements for issuance of a Water Withdrawal Permit within the Groundwater Protection Area.
